In this immersive workshop, Simon explores three areas of natural health: Healthy Body, Healthy Community, and Healthy Land. The focus is practical tools for staying well in busy, high-pressured lives.
Drawing on the ancient movement practice of qigong, together with mindfulness, breathwork, and reflection, this session returns us to a more natural rhythm.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), each season connects with different organs, emotions, and optimum actions. Using the season as a guide, Simon shares the wisdom of that time of year and how we can experience it in the body.
This gentle, calming practice brings 'qi' – energy – to our different systems: respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, nervous system. In TCM, stagnation is understood as the root of illness; when a system gets stuck, disharmony follows. By finding energetic flow we can improve our health – and hopefully carry that flow into all areas of life.
No fitness level, prior experience, or knowledge required. Come as you are, leave your shoes by the door, and find the flow - just like the River Thames, which we look out upon as we practice.
The session closes with gentle restorative breathwork and meditation, to let everything settle before you return to the world outside.
