Job description
The Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all wellness areas. This includes changing rooms, treatment spaces, studios, fitness areas, wet facilities and all shared guest spaces.
The role supports the smooth running of daily operations by ensuring spaces are consistently guest-ready, supplies are replenished, facilities are maintained and members are supported discreetly throughout their journey. The Spa Attendant plays a key role in preserving the calm, refined and welcoming atmosphere that defines the spa experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Spa Attendant is responsible for ensuring all wellness areas are kept clean, tidy and hygienic at all times, including changing rooms, treatment areas, studios, gym spaces, thermal facilities and back-of-house areas. Guest amenities, locker supplies and treatment room stock are replenished throughout the day to ensure consistent standards.
The role supports daily opening and closing procedures, assists with laundry operations including accurate logging of member laundry, and ensures linen and guest supplies are handled in line with agreed procedures. Pool testing and facility checks are completed in accordance with SOPs, with any irregularities escalated promptly.
The Spa Attendant supports food and beverage service when required, maintaining the presentation of water stations, teas and refreshments, and assists with deliveries, stock movement and operational setup as needed.
Guest interaction is an important part of the role. Spa Attendants are expected to greet members warmly, offer assistance proactively, support way finding through the space and maintain discretion and professionalism at all times. Maintenance issues, faults or hazards are logged and escalated appropriately, and clear handovers are provided between shifts.
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a spa, wellness, leisure or hospitality environment, or demonstrate a strong willingness to learn within a guest-facing role. A high level of attention to detail, reliability and physical capability is essential.
The role requires a professional, discreet and proactive individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works well as part of a team and understands the importance of consistency in a luxury wellness setting. Experience within a members-led or premium environment is desirable.
