Job description:

To provide a high standard of face and body treatments to guests and members, holding a recognised Level 3 and Level 2 beauty qualification. Deliver excellent service with a focus on guest experience, retail conversations and aftercare advice. Achieve individual performance targets including treatment upselling, sales conversion and client request rates. Support the wider spa team with additional tasks as needed and actively participate in training and development. To deliver an exceptional standard of bespoke face and body treatments to guests and members, utilising recognised Level 3 and Level 2 beauty qualifications. As a Spa Therapist, you will be a master of the guest journey through combining technical excellence with intuitive service, expert aftercare prescriptions, and a commitment to achieving personal performance targets. You will be an active contributor to the spas culture of continuous improvement and premium hospitality.


Key Responsibilities:


Clinical & Service Excellence:

  • Bespoke Treatment Delivery: Provide a diverse range of high-standard treatments in line with the spa's signature protocols and your advanced qualifications.
  • Expert Consultation: Conduct thorough, professional consultations for every guest, ensuring accurate records and a deep understanding of their wellness goals.
  • Spa Aftercare: Transition every treatment into a meaningful home care recommendation, prescribing products and follow-up services that extend the guest’s results.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Build a loyal following and high "request rate" by delivering consistent, personalised excellence that encourages repeat visits.

Operations & Team Synergy:

  • Sanctuary Maintenance: Ensure treatment rooms are impeccably clean, tidy, and fully stocked according to the spa's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborative Support: Proactively assist the wider team, including receptionists and attendants, during peak times or when not in treatments.
  • Inventory Integrity: Support the Head Therapist with monthly stock takes and provide timely updates on stock levels or treatment room requirements.
  • Digital Proficiency: Maintain expert knowledge of spa software systems to assist members with bookings and app-based queries.

Commercial Awareness:

  • Target Achievement: Actively drive spa profitability by upselling treatments and achieving product conversion targets set by management.
  • Resource Stewardship: Minimise wastage by using professional products efficiently.
  • Feedback Loop: Communicate guest feedback and operational irregularities to Spa Management and the Head Therapist to ensure constant service refinement.

Professional Standards:

  • Elite Presentation: Maintain impeccable grooming and uniform standards, serving as a visual representative of the spa brand.
  • Continuous Learning: Actively participate in all in-house training sessions and briefings to evolve your skill set and treatment offering.
  • Discretion & Compliance: Ensure total client confidentiality and adhere to all Health & Safety, fire procedures, and Employee Handbook guidelines.

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Level 3 NVQ

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 4 NVQ and above
