Job description
The Head Spa Attendant is responsible for leading the Attendant team and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across all wellness spaces. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the atmosphere, flow and operational excellence that underpin the member experience.
The Head Spa Attendant provides hands-on leadership, supports daily operations and ensures that all facilities, guest areas and back-of-house processes operate smoothly and discreetly. The role requires a proactive, detail-focused approach and acts as a visible role model for standards, professionalism and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
The Head Spa Attendant leads the Attendant team in the execution of daily duties, ensuring all wellness spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and readiness. This includes changing rooms, treatment areas, wet facilities, gym spaces, studios and shared guest areas.
The role is responsible for developing and maintaining attendant SOPs and checklists, delivering training to ensure consistency, and overseeing linen, laundry and guest supply processes. This includes managing stock levels, replenishment routines and member laundry services in line with agreed procedures.
The Head Spa Attendant ensures facilities such as pools, saunas, steam rooms and gym equipment are cleaned, checked and maintained in line with SOPs, including regular pool testing and prompt reporting of any irregularities or maintenance issues. Clear shift handovers are completed, and all guest interactions are handled with warmth, discretion and professionalism.
The role works closely with reception, therapy, fitness and café teams to support seamless daily operations, assist with guest guidance when required and ensure a consistently high-quality member experience.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will have experience working within a spa, wellness, leisure or hospitality environment, with previous responsibility for supervising teams or overseeing operational standards. Strong attention to detail, physical resilience and a clear understanding of hygiene, health and safety procedures are essential.
The role requires a proactive, reliable and professional individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards, works well under pressure and demonstrates discretion and teamwork at all times. Experience within a luxury or members-led environment is desirable.
